  • cup Fresh orange juice
  • 3 oz Silver tequila
  • 4 tbsp. Lime Juice (1 oz.)
  • 1 cup Carbonated mineral water or soda water
  • ½ cup Chopped pineapple

  • ½ cup Chile powder (chile píquin)
  • Crushed ice

Instructions

  • Soak the clay cups in cold water for 15 minutes before making the drink.
  • Place the chamoy and the chile powder in two separate plates. Dip the rim of the clay cup in the chamoy, and then in the plate with the chile powder.
  • Combine the grapefruit juice, orange juice, lime juice, and tequila in a cocktail shaker and shake to combine. Fill the cups half way with crushed ice.
  • Pour the juice mixture into the cups and top with enough soda water to fill the cup ¾ of the way.
  • Top the drink with the chopped pineapple, grapefruit, and orange segments. Top with more crushed ice if necessary. Garnish with grapefruit slice and serve.

Notes

Omit the tequila to make this a mocktail for the whole family. You can also garnish with tamarind candy.
